Turn a collection into a searchable buying space.
ParticleSearch can power opted-in Shopify collection pages with collection-aware products, filters, sorting, pagination, and search within the current collection.
The collection contract
Keep the category boundary while the shopper refines.
The collection route supplies the starting scope. Every filter, sort, search, and page change should continue to respect it.

The merchant answer
A collection page begins with useful context: the shopper has already chosen a category, use case, brand, or campaign boundary. Collection browsing preserves that scope while giving the shopper stronger tools to narrow, compare, and search inside it.

The path
Preserve the reason the shopper entered the collection.
A collection experience becomes confusing when filters, search, pagination, or product handoff silently escape the category the shopper chose.
Inherit the collection
On an enabled Shopify collection route, read the concrete collection handle and title so the page starts with an explicit catalogue boundary.
Browse inside the boundary
Filter, sort, paginate, or search within the collection without turning a category decision into a global store search.
Continue with context
Keep product identity, variant state, availability, and the route back to the collection coherent across desktop and mobile.

Questions this capability should answer
Use these questions to decide whether this capability is the right next move for your store.
When is collection browsing worth enabling?
Use it when collections are large, filters are central to product choice, or shoppers need to search within a category without losing its boundary.
What should remain scoped?
Products, counts, filters, sorting, pagination, empty states, and the search-within-collection response should all agree with the collection the shopper opened.
How should it be launched?
Enable it deliberately, test representative collection sizes and product states, verify desktop and mobile behaviour, and confirm the existing theme path remains recoverable.
What is included
Collection discovery with the same operating discipline as search
Collection browsing uses the full-page experience in a narrower context. That makes powerful search controls useful, but it also makes scope and theme compatibility part of the launch contract.
Collection-aware result scope
Keep products constrained to the concrete Shopify collection a shopper opened rather than treating the page as a global result set.
Facets and sorting
Use relevant filter groups, value counts, filter-value search, sorting, and responsive filter controls inside the collection.
Search within the collection
Let a shopper add a phrase without abandoning the collection context, which is useful for large or attribute-rich categories.
Pagination that preserves state
Carry the collection, active filters, sort, and current query through deeper browsing rather than resetting the shopper’s work.
Product and variant handoff
Use product cards, option cues, availability, and buying actions that continue to the intended purchasable state.
Opt-in storefront control
Keep existing collection pages unchanged until the merchant deliberately enables collection-page browsing and validates the result on the published theme.
A useful boundary
Good product decisions include what the feature cannot solve.
ParticleSearch gives your team more evidence and control. It does not remove the need for accurate product data, a clear merchandising goal, or a review of the result on your own store.
- Collection browsing is opt in and applies to concrete Shopify collection routes. It does not redefine arbitrary landing pages as collections.
- The collection membership, product visibility, market eligibility, inventory, and source attributes still come from the store. The browsing layer cannot repair incorrect catalogue authority.
- A capable collection surface can still conflict with theme scripts, sticky controls, overlays, or custom templates. Validate the published theme and the back-navigation path before rollout.
